Today in 1999 ,Duolun Road Cultural Celebrities Street opened. Duolun Road (formerly known as Darroch Road) was a side street in Shanghai with the commercial downtown of Sichuan North Road to the north and Lu Xun Park and Hongkou Football Stadium to the north. The literary activities held by Lu Xun, Mao Dun, Guo Moruo, Ye Shengtao and other great maters and Ding Ling, Rou Shi and other leftist writers give Duolun Road the status of “ City of Modern Literature”; the famous coffee house (site), Hongde Hall, the celebrities’ residences in various styles, such as Kong (Xiangxi) residence, Bai (Chongxi) residence, and Tang (Enbo) residence make Duolun Road an “Open Museum” of Shanghai school of architecture;  from the homes of celebrities such as Qu Qiubai, Cheng Wangdao, Zhao Shiyan, Wang Zaoshi and the Japanese bookkeeper－Nei Shanwanzao to the old buildings of China Arts College and Shanghai Drama Club and all these help to form a strong cultural atmosphere of Duolun Road.
